Hallowed Be Thy Name

Before any sort of petition is made, Jesus instructs in the Lord's Prayer that we are to hallow God's name, but what exactly does that mean? Simply put, it's to keep the name of the Lord holy. As we pray to God and seek to remember His name, we are to admire and worship Him for who He simply is, and as we do that, His holiness does two things to us: it produces reverence and it produces worship.
